A little bit of history.
In 1973 John Childers founded Childers Printing and Graphics; the company expanded in 1984 and purchased buildings in Detroit, Michigan. In 2005, the company expanded again and purchased the Westland, Michigan complex. John then redirected the company as Concord Marketing Services in 2010. His daughter Sean and son-in-law Paul are an integral part of this family owned and operated business. Their commitment to solution building and customer service is evident in every client the company services.
Over the past 40 years, our direct marketing expertise, state-of-the-art print workflows, fulfillment capabilities and warehousing platforms have significantly enriched our clients’ marketing outcomes and successfully impacted their overall business goals.
Today, we are passionately committed to developing the most suitable communications strategies for each of our clients, and take pride in our ability to deliver innovative and flexible solutions to drive business forward.
John Childers, President
John Childers brings more than 50 years of experience in all phases of marketing services.
John started his career in the United States Coast Guard. Then, while attending Wayne State University he worked for Ford Motor Company, Image House Advertising and Drake Printing Company.
John enjoys his two boxers and watching his youngest daughter play golf. His other passion after work and family is boating. John has been an avid boater since he was 18 years old.
Sean Arthur, Director of Operations
Sean is John’s oldest daughter and has grown up in the business. She has held various positions within the company over the years. Today she has responsibility for operational personnel within the company. She has led the restructure of processes and quality control for fulfillment, realignment of resources to our customer services team, assisting with the development of our merchandising and sample fulfillment program which is a leading part of our new business growth and numerous other aspects of the business.

Sean and her husband Paul have 3 children; Matt, Mackenzie, and Josh. They live in Northville where the 2 youngest are still in school keeping them plenty busy.
Paul Arthur, Director of Technology
Paul is John’s son in-law. He has been working with the company for over 15 years. Paul is responsible for all aspects of technology, from data processing to workflows through out the company. He has overseen projects ranging from implementing new equipment platforms, to managing the launching of new facilities. Paul’s background prior was in data processing for the largest financial institution in Northern Michigan.

Paul has been married to Sean for over 20 years with 3 amazing kids.
Michael T. Cavin, Vice President
Mike has been with the company for over 18 years. His responsibilities include the finance department, human resources, employee safety and health, property management and all administrative functions. Prior to joining Concord, Mike had over twenty years experience in the banking industry, where he served as Senior Vice President for a major bank over seeing all branch operations, human resources, marketing and policies and procedures.
“Funny story- my relationship with this company and John started over 35 years ago when I was managing the marketing department at the bank. John was one of our vendors and over the years we built a trusting partnership. A little over 18 years ago the opportunity to join John presented itself and I decided to join the company and help build the business
it is today.
Mike and his wife Doris have 3 children and 1 grandchild. His daughter Tracey works for Concord as well in the finance department.
